Mold and Mold stains contain hydrophobic constituents, specifically lipids.  Lipids repel water based solutions.  Moldonix is formulated to a very low surface tension enabling it to quickly wet and oxidize mold stains for fast deep penetration, particularly on porous surfaces such as wood where mold stains deeply penetrate into the cellulose fibers.

Comparative Contact Angle Testing on Paraffin Film

Parrafin film is a homogeneous hydrophobic film similar to that of lipids found in Mold.

• Heavier stains may require a second treatment or abrasion of surface with a wire brush to increase penetration.

• MOLDONIX performs best when applied to dry surfaces. 
• Freezing temperatures or frozen materials may reduce the effectiveness of the product. 
• MOLDONIX is a corrosive substance. Avoid contact with copper, aluminum, steel, duct work or other metals. If contact occurs wash these materials with soap and water. 
• Do not use on painted or finished surfaces, clothing, carpet, fabrics, floor coverings, mechanical equipment, and vegetation.
